Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about our fireproof fabric — fire ratings, certifications, coating options, and ordering.

Our fireproof fabric is tested to EN 13501-1 achieving A1/A2 classification, and equivalent international standards. We provide third-party test reports from accredited laboratories. Specify which standard your application requires (SOLAS, ASTM E84, EN 13501-1, etc.) when inquiring — we’ll match you to the right product grade.
A1 = absolutely non-combustible, no contribution to fire at any stage. A2 = limited combustibility, negligible contribution to flashover (<5% organic content). For welding protection and fire curtains, A2 is typically sufficient. For structural fire protection and marine SOLAS applications, A1 is often mandated. We produce both grades — tell us your application and we’ll specify the correct one.
No. E-glass fiberglass is inorganic — it does not burn, melt, or produce toxic fumes. Smoke density is negligible. Our coated variants use fire-retardant compounds tested for low smoke density and zero halogen content. Test data available on request.
Yes. We supply the fabric in roll form for your own fabrication, or we can deliver finished products — welding blankets with reinforced hems and brass grommets, fire curtains with hanging systems, and custom-sized panels. Contact us with your finished dimensions for a quote.
For foundry curtains and molten metal splash protection, we recommend our 1000°C peak-rated fabric with aluminum foil or silicone coating for additional thermal reflection. Fabric weight above 880 g/m² is recommended for splash resistance. Our engineers can specify the exact product based on the metal type, pouring temperature, and splash distance in your facility. If your application requires thermal insulation rather than fire exposure protection, see our Thermal Insulation Fabric — also available with aluminum foil or silicone facing.
Fireproof fiberglass fabric with silicone or aluminum foil coating (plain weave, coated or laminated, width > 30 cm) is classified under HS 7019.64.90.90. Uncoated fire-resistant glass fabric falls under HS 7019.69.90.90. We declare the code matching the actual product on each shipment's commercial invoice.
