Quick answers about our double-sided foil fabric — single vs double-sided, reflectivity, applications, and ordering.

Choose double-sided when both faces of the fabric are exposed to radiant heat (e.g., suspended thermal curtains between two heat zones, or cavity wall insulation where both sides face air gaps). Single-sided is sufficient when one face contacts a surface and only the exposed face needs reflection. Double-sided costs more — don’t pay for a second foil face you don’t need.
Up to 97% on both sides, tested per ASTM C1371. This is achieved through identical 6μm pure aluminum foil (8011/1235 alloy) on both faces. Both sides are identical in composition and reflective performance.
Yes. Standard is 6μm 8011/1235 aluminum alloy on both sides. Asymmetric options (e.g., 7μm on one side for durability, 18μm on the other for maximum reflection) are available on custom order — useful when one face experiences higher mechanical wear than the other.
Yes. Our B6460 model is 460 g/m² at 0.45mm thickness, compared to ~200–400 g/m² for comparable single-sided products. The additional weight comes from the second foil layer plus the second lamination process. For weight-sensitive applications, verify whether you truly need foil on both sides before specifying.
Yes. We can supply with heat-sealed edges or apply edge tape at the factory. For field installation, we recommend our aluminum foil tape for sealing seams and edges. Both the fabric and matching tape can be ordered together to simplify your procurement.
